🌍 Speak Your Language: UI Language Support Comes to Wavebox (Beta)

Big news for our global community - Wavebox is learning to speak your language! We've been hard at work adding UI language support, so the menus, settings and buttons you use every day can now appear in your own language, not just English.

We started with English and British English (because we're based in the UK and rather like the "u" in colour 😄), and translations for 19 languages have now landed on the Beta channel. That's where you come in — we'd love your help testing them.

🗣️ Which languages are available?

The full Wavebox interface is now translated into the following languages on the Beta channel:

English (UK), Spanish, Spanish (Latin America), German, Italian, French, Danish, Dutch, Portuguese (Brazil), Portuguese (Portugal), Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Simplified), Polish, Swedish, Norwegian Bokmål, Finnish, Czech and Welsh — with more on the way.

Languages land on the Beta channel first so we can fine-tune the wording and catch anything that reads oddly before it reaches everyone on the stable release. Translating a browser is a big job, and a real human eye in each language makes all the difference.

🚀 Ready to test? Here's how

Language support is available now on the Beta channel (v149.2.67 and later). To try it out, switch to the Beta channel and follow the steps on How to Change the Wavebox Language. (Psst, it works exactly the same way as Chrome 😉)

🙌 We need your help!

Translation is one of those things that's hard to get perfect without native speakers, so we'd genuinely love your feedback. If you spot a clunky phrase, a string that's still in English, or a word that doesn't quite fit the context — let us know!

  • Tell us which language you'd like to use Wavebox in.
  • Keep an eye on the Beta channel as we land more support there.
  • Spot a "funny" (a translation that made you smile for the wrong reasons)? Send it our way 😄
